After breakfast, we head to Suyckutambo, also called the Stone Forest. This area is known for its dramatic cliffs, narrow canyons, and unusual rock formations. We enjoy a 1.5-hour hike through this surreal landscape where the Apurímac River begins its journey.

We continue west, gradually descending from barren high plains to fertile canyon farmland. After lunch, we reach the Colca Valley and settle into our selected accommodation. Depending on location, there may be time for a relaxing soak in natural hot springs or a gentle walk through terraced fields and villages. Dinner and overnight in the Colca region.

Early in the morning, we visit Cruz del Condor, the best viewpoint in Colca Canyon. Arriving before most visitors from Arequipa allows for a quieter experience, with excellent chances to watch condors gliding on rising thermals.

Later, enjoy a soak in the hot springs (if not visited previously) and a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, we cross volcanic plateaus and highland plains before descending into the city of Arequipa, arriving by early evening.
